Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton has signed a new contract to run until the summer of 2028. The 30-year-old joined Town from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2022 following a previous loan spell. Walton won the EFL Golden Glove award for keeping 23 clean sheets when Ipswich won promotion from League One in 2023. But he only played four games in the following season as Vaclav Hladky was preferred as first-choice, and then seven in the Premier League in 2024-25. Ipswich are third in the Championship and at home to Preston North End on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
