A Dunedin family's Christmas presents were stolen in one of several burglaries in the city over the weekend. One property in Ocean Grove had ''toys and Christmas presents'' taken from its out buildings sometime over Saturday night. Other items stolen over the weekend included an X-Box and electronics from a North Dunedin property yesterday morning. There was also a speaker taken from a St Kilda address yesterday afternoon and a single number plate taken from a vehicle in Dunedin Central. Sgt Turner said it was unusual for a single number plate to be taken as usually both were taken to be used for a future crime.
