First out of the blocks at 7 p.m. were the Senior women, and there was no mistaking the intentions of Ciara Wilson (DMP). The majestic Enda Cloake, former national 3,000m steeplechase bronze medal winner, came into the finish clear of clubmate David Mahon (both Slaney Olympic), with Joe Lillis third. United Striders took the team title. Wednesday, July 21, the Juvenile championships for Under-9, -10 and -11 will get under way at 6.30 p.m.
