Since this spring a property just south of Saskatoon has been crushing apples and fermenting thousands of litres of cider, in what's become the best kept secret in Saskatoon. The focus of the event showcased a freshly opened cidery called the Crossmount Cider Company. Operations manager for Crossmount Cider Company Tyler Kaban told CBC News this summer has been a soft launch for their cider called Flat Lander. Tyler Kaban with Crossmount Cider Company leads a tour of the new cidery at the Glen at Crossmount south of Saskatoon. "We want to bring beer drinkers over but I don't think there's a direct competition with beer per se.
