B. Gopal (35), who works at the Kukatpally Traffic Police Station, had first noticed the woman by the roadside near Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on Friday. When the story of Mr. Gopal’s Good Samaritan act reached the ears of VC Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police-Cyberabad, he appreciated the home guard’s noble effort. Another home guard of the same police station, Jahangir Patel helped a four-year-old reunite with her parents. On Sunday afternoon, he noticed the girl near JNTU signal and asked for details of her parents. Acting on the clue, Mr. Patel started a search and later, handed over the girl to her father.
