The Celtics held a closed-door meeting for more than 30 minutes after their 120-107 home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks last Friday. It sure seems like the Celtics’ meeting worked to turn things around after they lost three in row, including an embarrassing home loss to the lowly Phoenix Suns two nights before the loss to Milwaukee. But something that had nothing to do with the meeting was probably the biggest factor in the Celtics’ turnaround: health. Re-insert $28 million man Horford and Morris, suddenly the lineup is better in terms of experience, versatility and talent. Against the Sixers in particular the Celtics needed both Horford and Morris to cancel out some of their size disadvantage.
