A district consumer disputes redressal forum here has directed the Country Club to compensate a complainant by paying over ₹1.30 lakh after it was alleged that the club had failed to provide facilities despite the complainant paying the membership fee. However, no such freedom was given to the complainants in the one-sided agreement which contained total beneficial stipulations in favour of the club,” the Bench observed. It was alleged by the complainant that despite paying ₹1.35 lakh towards membership for 30 years, the facilities mentioned in the agreement were not provided. The club however, contended that the complainants had not made any reservations and there was no deficiency in services.
