All told the fest says it’s offering 234 films and 18 interdisciplinary projects, and Hot Docs adds that 54 per cent of the directors in this year’s program are women. Among the previously announced Hot Docs films are movies about singers Gordon Lightfoot and Michael Hutchence, jazz legend Miles Davis, NHL trailblazer Willie O’Ree and famed Swedish author Stieg Larsson.
