The United National Party (UNP) has invited Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the Opposition Sajith Premadasa to return to the UNP. Deputy Leader of the UNP Ruwan Wijewardene and General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara were present. Referring to the UNP as Premadasa’s Maha Gedara or ancestral home, Bandara urged Premadasa to return. One must not be shy to return to his or her ancestral home,” Range Bandara said. Adding to this, Ruwan Wijewardene claimed that many local government members who joined the SJB have started coming back to the UNP.
