The construction of Bui Dam in Ghana permanently changed lives in nearby communities, and one reason the project reached fruition was strong community engagement. The Bui Dam resettlement programme is one of the best-documented resettlement programmes in Ghana. ESI Africa toured the Bui Dam to get a first-hand account of the current social transformations that have resulted from the construction of the dam.
