Congress leader blames Centre for LPG shortage

Congress MLCDr. Balmoor Venkat has strongly criticised the Central Government, holding it responsible for the ongoing gas shortage in the country. “The Centre failed to anticipate such a situation and acted negligently,” he said. Dr. Venkat pointed out that the Centre initially claimed India had reserves sufficient for 74 days despite the war crisis, but has now changed its stance, admitting there are no gas reserves. He said the government has ordered a halt to commercial supply, continuing only domestic distribution, which has created confusion among States.
