U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday invited congressional leaders to a White House briefing on border security as the partial government shutdown dragged on over funding for a border wall, with Trump tweeting, "Let's make a deal?" Pelosi said Democrats would take action to "end the Trump Shutdown" by passing legislation Thursday to reopen government. He then revised his aides' comments to state that he really still wants to build a border wall. Trump talked in December about border security with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
