The new route takes off on August 31 and is designed to meet the increasing travel demands of individuals, tourists and business users travelling between Vietnam’s capital city and the main Burmese business and tourism hub. The Hanoi–Yangon route will be operated on a daily basis with a flight time of 1 hour 55 minutes. The Hanoi–Yangon flight departs at 12.05pm and arrives at 1.30pm (local time). The return flight takes off from Yangon at 2.30pm and arrives in Hanoi at 4.55pm (local time). With similar forwardlooking cultures, Vietnam and Myanmar are both attractive destinations for investment in tourism and economic development, particularly by Thai business stakeholders wishing to expand regionally.
