While welcoming the positive feedback as a morale boost, Mr Abhisit cautioned against complacency, noting that some political analysts still predict the Democrats' gains will be concentrated in party-list seats rather than constituency races. He stressed that constituency MPs play a decisive role in being able to form a new government. Despite strong popularity ratings in the South, he said securing constituency seats would require detailed, targeted campaigning rather than reliance on broad sentiment. Asked how the party plans to sustain its momentum through election day, Mr Abhisit said public sentiment had improved after the New Year.
