Jogawat was operated at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai by Dr Muffazal Lakdawala. Dr Garg said he was running some blood tests and informed Dr Neha and Dr Aparna, who are associates of Dr Lakdawala, about the problems Jogawat was facing. Daulatram Jogawat before he developed insulin imbalance making him obese. When Shobhaa De’s post went viral there were several offers to treat Jogawat and one of them was from well known bariatric surgeon Dr Lakdawala. After the operation Shobhaa De who faced a barrage of criticism for fat-shaming Jogawat tweeted, “What a positive and wonderful response from Daulatram Jogawat.
