A police officer charged with the murder of IJM lawyer Willie Kimani was found with supermarket paper bags similar to those believed to have been used to suffocate the victims. Leonard Mwangi was charged alongside three other officers with the murders of Kimani, his client Josephat Mwenda and driver Joseph Muiruri. On Friday DCI officer Nicholas Ole Sena told the court during cross-examination that they retrieved three Mulei Supermarket paper bags from Mwangi's house in Ruiru. Their bodies had been put in gunny bags while their heads had been tied with paper bags from Mulei Supermarket which is located along the Mlolongo area. Ole Sena said the shuka was significant to their investigations because a witness had placed Mwangi at the murder scene in Soweto.
