JOHOR BARU: The police mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) shown going against traffic in Johor in a viral video clip was making its way back towards an accident site between KM23J and KM22.1J of the Second Link Expressway (East Bound) here. “The action was taken as an early response to help the victims of the accident and to control the traffic flow before the emergency response team arrived,” he said in a statement here on Monday (June 10). “The personnel in the MPV also maintained traffic flow and helped the accident victim before the arrival of a paramedic team,” he added. A 34-second video went viral on Facebook showing an MPV driving against traffic before coming to a halt at an accident that involved a motorcycle and a car. The owner of the video shouted some negative comments while filming the video and blamed the police for the accident.
