It comes after the force revealed today that they investigated the claim that a 15-year-old girl was seriously sexually assaulted in Foutain Gardens Park in the town earlier this month. We previously reported officers had locked down the area on Tuesday, October 3, after being alerted to the incident, which took place on Monday, October 2. Now, almost two weeks later, following "extensive enquiries", cops say no crime had taken place. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Following a report of a serious sexual assault in Fountain Gardens, Paisley, on Monday, October 2, officers have carried out extensive enquiries and established no crime had taken place."
