MUAR: Police have arrested nine individuals believed to have acted as mule account holders involved in online scam activities. Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the nine suspects were detained in an operation conducted across several states in the peninsula on Saturday (Jan 10). “Checks revealed that the nine suspects, comprising seven local men and two local women aged between 24 and 5,9 had acted as mule account holders. “They handed over their ATM cards and banking details to online scam syndicates, which were then used as channels to receive money from victims,” he said in a statement on Sunday. “The fraud activities involving these individuals were detected to have taken place between December 2024 and October 2025,” he said.
