Coronation Street fans have branded a long-awaited twist 'underwhelming' after a couple learned they are in fact cousins. It comes after Emmerdale and Coronation Street were axed from screens last week in a big schedule shake-up. Much like last week, new episodes also aired on Sunday evening to make up for fans missing out on Tuesday. This saw Emmerdale air at 7pm, followed by Coronation Street at 7.30pm, with crime drama Grace following after that. Before this, Coronation Street aired hour-long episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while Emmerdale aired Monday to Friday, with a double episode on Thursdays.
