Entrepreneurs who were counting on trade shows to find buyers for their organic foods and pet shampoos are being sunk by cancellations resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. Karen Finkle said she sold her house in Los Angeles to fund a line of organic dog-grooming products she planned to showcase last month at the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Fla. She spent the last roughly $30,000 of the $500,000 she had invested in the business to make samples, book a booth and hire staff for the annual event.
