As world-wide cases of Covid-19—the disease caused by the new coronavirus—rise, there are questions about how the illness affects certain patients such as pregnant women. What is known so far is based largely on a handful of studies among Chinese patients as well as research into other respiratory illnesses, including SARS and MERS.
