Shoppers had rushed to stock up on the anti-bacterial spray after labels claimed the product could kill the human coronavirus - but scientists have warned that it has no evidence. Amazed shoppers claimed they 'have found a cure' of the deadly Wuhan virus as they shared images of the cleaning agent on Twitter. The label at the back of the bottle shows: "Dettol Anti-Bacterial Surface Cleanser is proven to kill viruses: Influenza - Type A H1N1, Human Coronavirus and RSV". “It should be made clear that the Wuhan virus is only one of many types of human coronavirus – another is associated with many common colds," Dr Stoye said.
