Fiji Airways has announced an evacuation flight for New Zealanders in Fiji wishing to return to Auckland, and for Fijians in New Zealand looking to return home. Passengers who already have Fiji Airways tickets for Nadi to Auckland, and Auckland to Nadi, can book themselves on the evacuation flight at no additional cost by contacting the airline's reservations desk with their booking reference. The flights take place on Friday, April 17, leaving Nadi at 10am, and the return trip leaving Auckland at 2.10pm. Only Fiji passport holders are able to enter Fiji at this time, and they will be required to enter 14 days self-isolation at a government-mandated facility. Lufthansa has flown several flights departing Auckland and Christchurch, while German airline Condor, along with Austrian Airlines and Swiss International have also made visits.
