Global oil demand is expected to drop 18% this quarter from a year earlier as coronavirus lockdowns continue to hammer the economy, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries said Wednesday. In its monthly report, OPEC said the world’s demand for crude would likely fall to 81.3 million barrels a day in the second quarter, down from 98.6 million barrels a year earlier.
