The coronavirus, once an 'aggressive tiger' of a disease, has weakened and become more like a wild cat, according to a top Italian doctor. He said: 'It was like an aggressive tiger in March and April but now it's like a wild cat. Viruses are known to change over time because they are subject to random genetic mutations in the same way that all living things are. 'There could be a lower viral load in the respiratory tract, probably due to a genetic mutation in the virus which has not yet been demonstrated scientifically.' But other scientists did not welcome the idea and said there was no evidence to back up Professor Bassetti's claims.
