Irish prices a key factors many people opt to go abroadConsumers are not put off by very hot weather from holidaying abroad. LARGE numbers of people consider the costs of holidaying at home to be “extortionate” and would prefer to go abroad. Despite the increased cost of air travel over recent months, 55pc of Irish holidaymakers plan to travel abroad this year. The Aviva survey revealed that even erratic weather conditions and the potential for record-breaking heatwaves over the summer months are not enough to thwart vacationers’ plans. Four in 10 say that they do not plan to “take into consideration” the risk of extreme weather abroad.
