Police have arrested a couple for allegedly duping the banks and innocent people by obtaining loans on forged property papers. Both the accused had been declared proclaimed offender by a court and forged documents like PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, voter Ids and driving licences were recovered from them, police said. "The complainants further alleged that the couple had committed offences of forgery and cheating by concealing the facts about the loan on the basis of forged and fabricated documents. On June 1, 2016, the couple was declared proclaimed offenders. Following a tip off that the couple is living in Bindapur area on changed identities, a raid was conducted and they were arrested," said the DCP.
