[Courtesy]Proprietors of donkey slaughterhouses have a reason to smile after the High Court quashed a ban on the slaughter of the animals. Other than the Naivasha-based Star Brilliant, other slaughterhouses that were affected by the ban were Goldox Kenya (Mogotio), Silzha (Turkana) and Fuhai (Machakos). In their application before the High Court, Star Brilliant sought a judicial review of the legal notice. He also noted that the legal notice violated the rights of Star Brilliant which has been operating in the country for over five years.
