DHAKA, Dec 28, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today sent Kabir Hossain, a close aide to Foysal Karim Masud, the prime accused in the case filed over the murder of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, to jail. Earlier, on December 16, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibuzzaman placed Kabir on a seven-day remand. On December 20, the court ordered the inclusion of Section 302 (murder) of the Penal Code in the case, which was initially filed as an attempted murder, following the death of Sharif Osman Hadi on December 18. Sharif Osman Hadi, an independent parliamentary candidate for Dhaka-8 and spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, was shot on December 12 in the capital’s Bijoynagar Box Culvert area. Inqilab Moncho Member Secretary Abdullah Al Zaber filed the case with Paltan Model Police Station on December 14.
