Championship leaders Coventry City have signed winger Jahnoah Markelo from Swiss top-flight club FC Zurich on a four-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee. Markelo then had spells at in Croatia and Slovenia before joining Zurich in October 2024. "I'm also looking forward to playing in front of the Coventry fans and seeing the stadium. Markelo is Coventry's third signing of the January transfer window - and third winger - following the loan arrivals of Crystal Palace's Romain Esse and Yang Min-hyeok from Tottenham. The Sky Blues, three points clear at the top of the Championship, travel to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
