In the past 24 hours until Friday morning another 1,163 cases were detected, at 8.49% infection rate. This clearly depicts a downward trend in the test positivity rate, where the average figure till date stands at 16.11%. The deceasedAmong the total infections, 87.47% patients have recovered, while 1.46% died since Bangladesh detected its first three Covid-19 positive cases on March 8. The division-wise data shows that 12 deaths took place in Dhaka division, three in Chittagong, two each in Khulna and Rangpur, and one in Mymensingh. A total of 3,149,348 samples have so far been tested since the detection of the first Covid-19 cases in the country.
