The DGHS said 12,074 samples were collected from suspected Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours. Till date, 3,239,701 tests have been conducted in the country, leading to an overall infection rate of 15.88% so far. Earlier, the single-digit test-positivity rate continued for four consecutive days starting on December 15, and the trend has been prevailing again since December 20. So far, 5,764 men (76.08%) and 1,812 women (23.92%) have died from Covid-19 across the country. As many as 59,405,632 people have recovered from Covid-19 which has spread to 218 countries and territories across the planet.
