The scene of the February 17 crash between a Mitsubishi Legnum and a large truck and trailer on State Highway 6. PHOTO: TRACEY ROXBURGHThe driver of a Mitsubishi Legnum hit by a ‘‘B-train’’ truck near Arrowtown 10 days ago has been fined $1000 — half of it going to two agencies who attended the accident. The front seat passenger sustained cuts to the face, a rear passenger injured their arm and also had facial cuts, while the other rear passenger had cuts to the head. Le Blanc was ‘‘very apologetic’’ and told police she had ‘‘misjudged the speed of the oncoming truck’’. Lawyer Tanya Surrey said Le Blanc, a trained nurse, was ‘‘highly distressed’’ about the crash.
