November 7, 2020 12:58 am-The Health Ministry, based on growing evidence and global recommendations, has revised the criteria for discharging confirmed Covid-19 patients. Director-General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardhane said only the patients who remain asymptomatic for 14 days since the diagnostic PCR test will be discharged in this manner. According to Epidemiology Unit’s data, a total of 5,754 active cases are currently under medical care.
