It’s not as surprising as you might think to see the Twins invest in 38-year-old DH Nelson Cruz, who they’ve reportedly agreed to sign. Cruz has averaged 41 homers, 104 RBIs and an .897 OPS over the last five seasons, including four in Seattle. He is reportedly signing a one-year deal with an option for $14.3 million, opting to sign with the Twins after a strong pursuit from Tampa Bay. Cruz is known for being a positive influence on his teammates, especially young players. The Twins won 85 games and a wild card spot two years ago.
