Cupra has done the impossible

Before now, that is, because it seems that Audi has decided to relent and allow Cupra to use the five-cylinder in its new go-fast crossover. Cupra, formerly Seat's performance arm, has marked three years of independence with a high-performance version of the Formentor, called VZ5. Supplied Cupra somehow convinced Audi to give the Formentor FZ5 its rather special inline-five engine. Five drive modes – Comfort, Sport, Individual, Cupra and Offroad – are included, just in case you want your Formentor to really do everything. This kicker is that the VZ5 won't be built in right-hand drive, which means it won’t be coming here.
