The Zone B of Nigeria Customs Service Federal Operations Unit Kaduna, on Monday, said it has generated over N1billon since it began collecting duty for vehicles within the zone. He explained that FOU zone B has been designated as duty collection centre in the zone for vehicles brought into the country. “We took the inventory and asked the people to come forward and pay duty for their vehicles without duty,” he said. Sarkin-Kebbi said since the exercise began on October 29, 2019, more people have been coming forward to pay duty on their vehicles. Prominent members of the public living in the zone are coming over with vehicles to pay customs duties,” he added.
