By Kirk MaltaisPlacements of cattle on feedlots fell by more than anticipated by analysts, according to the latest data from the Department of Agriculture. In its latest monthly Cattle on Feed report, the USDA said that placements of cattle on feed fell by 6.9 percentage points, which is more than the 3.6-point drop forecast by analysts surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
