SEPANG: The incredibly talented Seri Puteri Symphonic Winds Orchestra, or better known as SP Winds, returned triumphantly after bagging the silver award at the World Music Contest 2017 in Netherlands this evening. Already charting their next move, the 68-member symphony orchestra have vowed to raise RM500,000 funds needed for their new musical instruments. Well, the instruments are already 20 years old and need to be replaced soon,” said Sekolah Seri Puteri’s principal, Nor Aishah Abdullah. In the week-long music competition, SP Winds bowled over the international judges with their heartfelt renditions of classical scores such as The Land of Zarathustra and Vesuvius. “We dedicate our silver award to Malaysia and those who have been supporting the school,” Nor Aishah beamed proudly.
