NBA MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo will be there for Greece when they take on the Tall Blacks in pool play on September 5 in Nanjing. Adams was included on Thursday on a long list of 25 players being considered for Tall Blacks selection for the global tournament. In the same interview he said he was in communication with Tall Blacks coach Paul Henare. It is likely we will know soon enough whether Adams will suit up at the World Cup. His heavily publicised inclusion in the Tall Blacks' long list for China is likely to force a response from either him or his LA-based management group.
