The DA will be conducting a full audit of all CVs of elected members of Parliament and provincial legislatures, as well as prospective candidates for this year's local government elections. Party leader John Steenhuisen told News24 the decision was taken as a "matter of concern", following reports in recent weeks that party members allegedly lied about their qualifications. "I have requested the chief executive officer to do a full audit on the CVs of the elected MPs and MPLs from the 2019 election, as well as the CVs submitted by prospective candidates for this year's local government elections," Steenhuisen said.
