Eight members of the syndicate, including five Chinese nationals, have been arrested in coordinated raids conducted in Bashundhara and Uttara Paschim Thana areas of the capital. Zakaria, 26, Niaz Masum, 20, and Kamrul Hasan alias Hasan Joy, 38. They seized 14 VoIP gateway devices, 51,067 SIM cards of different operators, four mobile phones, two CPUs and one laptop from their possession. In continuation of the operation, DB arrested six more individuals, including five foreign nationals, from Sector 09 under Uttara Paschim Police Station on Monday (January 12). During this raid, seven illegal VoIP gateways, 47 mobile phones of various brands, 184 SIM cards and five laptops were seized.
