DNA Explainer: Why CBSE will conduct two Board Exams for academic year 2021-2022


Despite the uncertainty around COVID-19 situation, CBSE went ahead with the existing year-end final evaluation system this year. The brutal second wave forced the Board to cancel the physical board examinations schedule. The difficulties experienced in conducting board examinations this year has forced it to look at alternative ways – for both the learning objectives as well as how it would conduct the Board Examinations for the academic session 2021-22. The biannual Board exams formatBoth students of Class 10 and 12 will be assessed over two terms for academic year 2021-2022. Currently, CBSE aims to keep Term II examinations as two-hour-long question papers in different formats.
