It should not be lost on Kenyans that Deputy President William Ruto is a shrewd political strategist and a schemer of no mean record. Mr Ruto may not be a passing cloud after all. He is firm in his political conviction, and is aggressive when pursuing his political goals. Self made politicians and leaders, just like self-educated people, are too sharp and calculating to be taken on face value. That is why when Peter Kenneth was proposed as a candidate for Nairobi governorship and possible heir to President Uhuru Kenyatta there was uproar for some time, but it quickly died down.
