Three gardaí who had been due to stand trial over the alleged ‘squaring away’ of fixed-charge notices for motoring offences will no longer face prosecution. It is understood the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has written to Liz Hughes, the Garda Representative Association (GRA) solicitor acting for the three officers, informing her that the charges have been dropped.
