AKM Mominul Huq Sayed CollectedHe was absent in 13 meetings out of 18AKM Mominul Huq Sayed, councillor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)’s ward no 9, has been removed from his office for being absent at DSCC meetings. An order has been issued by the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives on Thursday in this regard. According to the order, Sayed was absent in 13 meetings out of 18, and made overseas trips without the ministry's prior permission. As Sayed failed to defend his actions, and allegations against him were proven true, he was removed from his office, it added. Though there are other allegations against him including his reported involvement in casino-related activities, extortion and other misdeeds, he was expelled for being absent at DSCC meetings.
