According to a DSCC source, a special taskforce of the local government agency also gave eight factories 15 days to relocate their chemical warehouses, and fined another company Tk1 lakh. The DSCC conducted the drive at Debidas Lane, Khazadewan Lane, Haranath Ghosh Road, Moneswar Road, BC Road, and Bonogram Road of Hazaribagh and Old Dhaka. The DSCC launched the drives after a devastating fire at Chawkbazar claimed the lives of 71 people and injured dozens of others on February 20.
