In her statement, Rubina Nagra said the incident showed that there was a lack of safety in DU where a lot of women travel alone. When they reached Chhattra Marg, two men on a bike tried to snatch her bag. The men caught hold of the bag and drove on, taking along Ms. Nagra, who held onto her bag. She fell down from the cycle rickshaw and was dragged along the road.
