Ahead of the Delhi University elections, the Congress-backed National Students Union of India (NSUI) will release a separate manifesto for women on August 22. The union said it would take students’ inputs from every state and forward these to the HRD ministry. The NSUI, which has not won a seat in DUSU elections since 2014, said it would highlight the misuse of students’ union funds by the RSS-backed ABVP. The council has asked the university to shut down colleges offering law courses in the evening. The union said the move was aimed at addressing problems of female students.
